This policy applies to the Sutta Mukti Android application with package name com.suttamukti.app. It does not describe unrelated Technical Dost websites, products, or services.
1. Information the app handles
You may choose to enter information such as:
- Your reason for quitting and an optional pledge name or signature.
- Cigarettes per day, pack price, quit date, and smoke-free progress.
- Craving, slip, mood, trigger, coping, and journal entries.
- Personal milestones, savings goals, rewards, and notification preferences.
This may be considered health or wellness information. Sutta Mukti does not require your email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, camera, microphone, or a Technical Dost account.
2. Local storage and security
Quit-journey information is stored in the app's private storage on your Android device. Sutta Mukti does not upload this content to a Technical Dost server. Android cloud backup is disabled for the app. Other apps cannot normally read this private storage unless the device's security has been compromised.
Network connections used by supported third-party services require encrypted HTTPS transport; cleartext network traffic is disabled.
3. Firebase diagnostics and notifications
Sutta Mukti uses limited Google Firebase services as service providers:
- Firebase Crashlytics may receive crash traces, diagnostics, app version, device model, operating-system version, and an app installation identifier when the release app encounters a problem.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging may process an app installation identifier and push token to deliver notifications. Notifications are optional and can be denied or disabled.
Technical crash data is used only to maintain app reliability and security. It is not combined with the quit-journey content stored in the app database. Google may process this technical data under its Firebase privacy and security terms.
5. Your choices and controls
- Notification permission is optional and can be changed in Android Settings.
- The morning reminder can be turned off inside Sutta Mukti Settings.
- You can choose what journal, craving, milestone, and pledge information to enter.
- You may use the app without creating an account.
6. Retention and deletion
On-device journey data remains until you clear Sutta Mukti's app storage or uninstall the app. Because there is no user account or Technical Dost cloud copy of your journey, Technical Dost cannot restore that local information after deletion or device loss.
Firebase retains technical diagnostic and messaging data according to its service settings and retention terms. To ask a privacy question or request deletion of technical data that can reasonably be associated with you, contact us using the address below.
7. Health and medical disclaimer
Sutta Mukti is a general wellness and habit-support tool. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease. App estimates and milestones are educational and may not reflect an individual's health. Seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional for medical concerns. For an emergency, contact local emergency services.
8. Children's privacy
Sutta Mukti is not directed to children under 13, and Technical Dost does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted information to a Firebase service may contact us for assistance.
9. Policy changes
We may update this policy when app features, service providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated. Material changes will be communicated in the app or store listing when appropriate.
